With shattered hearts and deep faith, we share the passing of Joey Emig, a beloved son, brother, friend, and source of joy to all who knew him. Early this morning, Joey peacefully went home to be with the Lord, embraced by love and surrounded in spirit by those who held him so dearly. Though his time on earth ended far too soon, we take comfort in knowing exactly where he is—held safely in the arms of Jesus and finally free.

A couple of weeks ago, Joey was involved in a serious car accident. In true Joey fashion, he fought with remarkable strength, courage, and resilience—traits that had defined him since the day he was born. Through every moment of his battle, his family held him close, pouring out love, prayers, and unwavering support. Overnight, he left this world the same way he entered it: strong, brave, and amazing.

Joey was a young man whose heart overflowed with love. His family describes him best—love was who he was. He lived it, he shared it, and he left it behind in endless measure. Joey’s kindness, gentle spirit, and ability to make others feel valued will forever be remembered. His smile could lift a weary soul, his compassion touched everyone around him, and his presence brought comfort and joy to countless lives.

Though the sorrow of losing Joey is immeasurable, his family takes solace in the promise of eternity, knowing with profound certainty that they will see him again. Joey has found his freedom—free from pain, free from struggle, and wrapped in perfect peace.

The family asks for continued prayers for love, strength, and comfort as they navigate this heartbreaking journey. Your support, presence, and prayers mean more than words can express.

A Celebration of Life for Joey will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Point Church of Paradise (10 S. Singer Ave., Paradise, PA). The doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for a viewing. A luncheon will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Additional details will be shared as they become available.

Today, in honor of Joey, his family asks that we each tell someone, “I love you.” Because that is who Joey was—and who he will always be in our hearts: pure love.

Rest easy, Joey. Rest in the peace of Christ. We love you, and we will see you again.
