Seth Pollack Bike Accident Monterey, CA Death, Obituary

The Green Hope High School community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a wrestling team member who tragically passed away following a devastating car accident on Thursday afternoon in Cary, North Carolina. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Louis Stephens Drive and Morrisville Parkway. According to the Cary Police Department, the driver of a green Honda Civic failed to yield while making a left turn, resulting in a collision with a blue Jeep Cherokee.

The teenage passenger in the Civic—under the age of 18—sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital, where they later passed away. Several other students, also members of the Green Hope High School wrestling team, were critically injured in the collision. The loss of one young life and the severe injuries to others have left teammates, families, and the larger Green Hope community deeply shaken.

Parents, students, and staff are calling for prayers, support, and unity as the school grapples with this tragedy. One parent shared that these were teammates of her son, describing the news as devastating and urging others to never take God’s precious gift of life for granted. The impact of this accident reaches far beyond those involved—touching friends, families, teachers, coaches, and the entire school community.

As investigators continue to review the circumstances of the crash, authorities are asking the public to allow law enforcement the space needed to complete their work. The name of the student who passed away has not been released out of respect for the family’s privacy during this unimaginably difficult time.

Tonight, the Green Hope community grieves together. Students are leaning on one another as they process shock and sorrow, while teachers, coaches, and school counselors work to support those most affected. This tragedy is a painful reminder of how fragile life is and how deeply we depend on one another for strength, care, and compassion.

Please join the families, classmates, and loved ones in lifting up the injured students in prayer and in honoring the young life lost far too soon. May comfort, peace, and healing surround all who are grieving, and may the memory of this student live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
